On Tuesday, November 17, 2009 Manfredo's Gym, in conjunction with USA Boxing 
New England, Inc., will present the 1st Annual Amateur Boxing Charity Dinner Show,
 "Boxing by the Sea," with a portion of the proceeds to benefit South County Hospital. 
The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Newport, RI with a cash bar cocktail reception
 beginning at 6pm, a three course dinner at 7pm and Olympic-style boxing competition between 
the United State Marine Corps and USA Boxing New England teams. Bouts will begin at 8pm. 
General Admission tickets are 
priced at $25.  As individuals and businesses battle to thrive during the current economic 
downturn, Manfredo's Gym recognizes the importance of supporting the 
healthcare resources of the community.  By choosing one of the

 Guests are also encouraged to each bring at least one toy as a donation for the United States Marine
 Corps Toys for Tots collection.  The boxing portion of the evening will consist of amateur athletes who
 are training with the hopes of achieving an Olympic medal. The event is sanctioned by USA Boxing NE, Inc., 
which is a nationally recognized organization involved 
in the certification and training of Olympic competition officials, coaches and athletes.
 The bouts are scored on a point system, all competitors must wear appropriate safety equipment including
 head gear, and the safety of the boxer is top priority.
The menu will feature: House Garden Salad; Freshly Baked Rolls and Butter; 
Pan Roasted Statler Breast of Chicken with Port Wine Glaze; Grilled Scallions; 
Wax Beans and Roasted Fingerling Potatoes; New York Style Cheesecake 
with Strawberry Sauce; Coffee and Tea.
